Mayo Pyramid - Plaza de Mayo - Downtown - Buenos Aires: In the centre of Plaza de Mayo square, you can see the Piramide de Mayo. During the last military dictatorship -wich governed the country between 1976 and 1983- this was the meeting place of the "Mothers of the Plaza de Mayo", where the mothers marched in silence around the pyramid to claim their "missing" sons and daughters. To wlak in a Plaza wasn't a formally protest, so the militars didn't stop them. Their emblem is a white headscarf.
